What Goes Around Comes Around: Body Painting/Tattooing In Societies Past and Present

Through written and visual art activities this curriculum unit will explore the history of body painting and tattooing. The unit will use a popular art form to help students understand the reasons for and significance of art, both in their own and other cultures. This curriculum unit is intended for the high school student in grades 9-12 and previous art experience and or skill is not required.
