The Impact of Advertising on Teenagers

 Advertisers develop a multitude of strategies and techniques to reach the youth market. It is important that teenagers become aware of the strategies in order to make informative decisions about what they purchase and why. Through the use of cooperative learning and interactive activities, this unit, exposes teenagers to the advertising “game” and how to “play” it. Students will study the history of advertising, discuss examples, and form mock advertising agencies to create ad campaigns of their own.
